🧐 Beginners level for configuring your Linux server.

I am finally organizing all my notes and links in different docs to follow one logic. Also, I am moving all my paper notebooks and conspectus to Google Drive. So, I`ve decided to share some of the links to nice courses that I`ve taken on various fields (however usually more technical), some of my notes and books that I`ve read.
Maybe be it could be useful for someone.

I remember the 2nd of January 2016, very clearly. CruiseBe was accepted to Catalyst Startup Program by IBM, and we were given nice perks for our server. Before that time, we used VMS to host our projects. VMS is a virtual managed server with a preconfigured setting according to the project needs. With the IBM solution (and types of perks we received), we had to configure the server ourselves.

Well, I did have some experience with configuring servers, but not so big. When launching your company, usually, you take every step of the journey on your own, you want to make it right, only on the second step you do delegate of responsibilities.

So, returning to the subject, on the 2nd of January, when everybody around was still celebrating the New Year, I had on set up a new Linux server from scratch for the first time in my life, with no additional help.

I won`t go here in details about the struggles I faced, but at the end of the day everything worked out pretty well, now I am a rather good specialist in setting and maintaining Linux servers. I don`t do it anymore, though. But I am confident that my server is set up properly, and I can make any changes any time myself, and I control my server-guys and know how they work and what they do. Delegating responsibilities is vital for growing a startup, but making sure you understand every step of the way you go is inevitable.
